The Delta Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus (D-CARES) Program has received high praise for its exceptional execution of projects across the state.
This commendation came during an exit meeting between the Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) team, led by Prof. Edirin Jeroh, and the State CARES Coordinating Unit (SSCU).
Prof. Jeroh lauded the program as a transformative initiative jointly implemented by the World Bank, federal, and state governments. He noted the enthusiasm of beneficiaries who testified to its positive impact on their lives. Many expressed hopes for the program’s extension and expansion.
He applauded the dedication and teamwork of the D-CARES staff, likening their commitment to running a personal enterprise, while urging them to sustain the momentum.
Responding, the State Coordinator, Lady Dr. Patience Ogbewe, expressed gratitude to the World Bank representative and the monitoring team for their support. She reaffirmed the program’s commitment to continuous improvement, inspired by the passion and leadership of the State Governor.
The monitoring team inspected various project sites across the state’s three senatorial districts, further solidifying confidence in the program’s impact and implementation.
