The people of Ute-Ogbeje in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State on Saturday, March 9, 2019 unanimously expressed their profound gratitude in kind to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa by giving their unanimous massive votes for his return as Governor for a second term.
Voting for Governor Okowa in Ute-Ogbeje particularly witnessed a massive turn out of voters, including the young, the women ,the men and the elderly who trooped into the Ogbeje Primary School voting centre for Ward 13 to cast their votes.
On why the high voters turnout in Ute-Ogbeje when there were reported cases of voters apathy in many areas of the country, a notable figure from the community and renowned petroleum dealer, accomplished businessman per excellent and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the popular Anioma Petroleum Resources Ltd, Mr. Sylvester Ukwandi gave insight into the turn of events and why the Ute-Ogbeje community voted massively for Governor Okowa.
Mr. Ukwandi who described voting in Ute-Ogbeje to be largely peaceful said apart from the fact that the community is a PDP enclave and Governor Okowa is from the Local Government Area, the Governor has done creditably well in all areas since he assumed office, pointing out that it is a known fact.
He disclosed that besides being a PDP enclave, the leaders of the party also sensitized all eligible voters in the Community to come out to vote on March 9, 2019 for their illustrious son, Governor Okowa.
While thanking God for the massive support being shown to the Governor in the reports coming from other areas of the State, Mr. Ukwandi popularly called Anioma enjoined all Deltans to support Gov. Okowa for a stronger Delta
