We Are Committed To Public Awareness Creation On Government Policies And Activities – DTS NOA BOSS, John Ema

Delta State Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr. John . I. Emah has said that the Agency is committed to its mandate on public enlightenment of the citizenry on the activities, programs and policies of the Government at all levels targeted at both rural and urban areas.
The Delta NOA Boss made this assertion today being Thursday 27th June, 2019 at the Conference Hall, Federal Secretariat Complex, Okpanam Road, Asaba.
Mr. Emah, while addressing Heads of Federal Agencies, stakeholders, Youths, Women, Non -Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in the state on a one day sensitization program on ‘’Communicating Government Policies, Programs and activities’’, stated that the rational is to ensure that Government is for the Nigerian populace.
The Workshop was well attended by the State Director, Public Complaints Commission, Mr. Philip .I. Enyali, Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adeyinka Adeleke ably represented by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, ACP Ngozi Ezeabata, the State Director, National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) ably Represented by Mr. Victor Nwuzor, the Delta State Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comrade Kenneth Okorie and other dignitaries to mention but a few.
In his speech, the Delta State Director, National Orientation Agency: ‘’ I am directed to welcome you all today to this program on behalf of the Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr. Garba Abari. He has conveyed his good tidings and kind remarks’’.
‘’Accordingly, state heads of Government institutions are being engaged by NOA in the 36 states of the federation as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to showcase the activities of their MDAs and for the citizens to understand, key into them, access the benefits for Government feedback and Citizens impact on policies and programs’’.
Mr. Emah stated that his Agency, NOA will not only creates its usual awareness in the Urban setting, but will equally step it down to reach those in the rural communities at the local Government level.
He restates commitment on the future plan of the Agency to organize a program on ‘’ Government Social Investment Program’’ that will bring the entire grassroots communities in the state together in Oshimili South Local Government Council Area Secretariat.
Addressing newsmen, both the Delta NOA Deputy Director Operations, Mr. Uche Anyabuine and Assistant Director Admin and Supply, Mrs Patricia Nkiru Umunna, enjoined Deltans to always and actively key into Government programmes and policies.
The two Directors equally charged Deltans to be patriotic and diligently execute and implement Government programs as personal project without sentiment.
CP Adeyinka Adeleke of the State Police Command, stated that Delta state Command of the Force is committed to strict adherence to Police Act and proper implementation Nigeria’s Constitution as stipulated in section 241 sub-section 2b which bothers on its powers and duties Force to the citizens towards crime prevention, protection of Law and order, lives and property.
In another development, Mr. Philip stated that Public Complaints Commission is an Onbusman that addresses administrative problems, the grievances of citizens, workers in both public and organized private sectors, other businesses registered under Company and Allied matter Act (CAMA) focusing on the issue of promotion, salary of workers, pension and others, therefore appealed to citizens to make good use of the opportunities.
The Representative of the State Director, National Identity Management Commission, Mr. Nwuzor stated that the Agency is also committed to its 2007 Act towards proper enrolment, issuance of unique National Identification numbers, master card, verification and assessment of citizens for reliable data base, identity management thereby appealed to those yet to collect theirs to be patient with them.
