Four persons have been reportedly gunned down in Sapele at a time all thought peace had been restored in the town.
The killings took place in the mornings of Wednesday when some unknown gun men stormed a boutique along the Mission Road by Lexi Junction, killing the owner of the boutique, his sales girl and two others.
The victims were identified as Alhaji Bello, a business man who specialises in buying of trycycles and motorbikes for youths on a “balance- and-take arrangements.
The other victim were identified as Mr. Matthew Ekiopa Eroso, owner of the boutique, Miss Blessing, his sales girl and Hon. Bigha Grikpa, Deputy Legislative Leader of Warri North Local Government Council.
An eye witness account had it that Alhaji Bello and Hon. Grikpa were not the target of the attack, but happened to be at the scene when the unknown gun men stormed the boutique.
All efforts to reach the Local Government Chairman, Hon Eugene Inoaghan, and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Harrison Nwanbueze, to comment on the killings proved abortive.
