Asiwaju’s ministers are helping to further Renew Hope. They are in some healthy competition to outperform their predecessors, their contemporaries! Exactly what we voted for last February; RESULTS.
Nyesom Ezinwo Wike, the FCT minister, set the ball rolling yesterday immediately after his swearing in. His two point agenda are restoring the master-plan of the federal seat of power and creating an enabling safe environment needed to attract investors, to reassure residents.
His Works counterpart, David Umahi, is assuring that all federal roads under construction or abandoned for whatever reasons after award of contract, would be given deserving attention. Work would not just resume on the said roads, emphasis would be placed on early completions.
Little Asiwaju unbundled the Works ministry. Foresight! He acknowledged the vital role smooth and motorable highways would play in the successful implementation of his agricultural policies, food for all at affordable prices.
Umahi is promising to repeat the Ebonyi style at the federal level; always on the road to see things for himself. He is to begin the inspection and assessment of all federal roads in two weeks.
According to him, under his leadership, bureaucratic processes will be a thing of the past, as no file will be expected to be left unattended for more than two hours without genuine explanations.
Read the man: “I am going to be training tomorrow. I will offer my address to you tomorrow. I have indicated to see the contractors. And after taking briefings from the Heads of Departments, we will meet with the contractors because I am not an office person, I am a field person. God giving us life, with some of you in that department, I will be inspecting the Lokojo-Benin Road and Lokoja-Abuja Road.
“After this week, the upper week, which is in two weeks, I will begin the inspection of roads, and I will settle down only when I have seen all your projects and the new ones we intend to do.
“So, we will be touring the six geopolitical zones to see things for ourselves.”
Isn’t Renewed Hope for real? Asiwaju only requires Patience and understanding.
