MEMBER representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Rt Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, on Saturday, celebrated with Dr Paul Oweh, Chairman-designate, Delta State Hospital Management Board on his award of Worthy Ambassador of the University of Ibadan.
The event, a Special Awards and Luncheon in celebration of the University of Ibadan (UI) marking its 75 years of existence, and its alumni at 65 years, was held at the Metropolitan Club in Victoria Island, Lagos State.
According to Ukodhiko, “At 75, the Nigerian premier University, UI’s alumni and alumnae have excelled in all spheres of human endeavors, and have taken our nation to the hilt of glory in the comity of nations.”
He said, “ On behalf of my family and the people of Isoko Federal Constituency, I heartily congratulate Chief (Dr.) Barr. Paul Oweh as recipient of the award of Worthy Ambassador (WA) of the University of Ibadan (UI).
“We are delighted that the University of Ibadan Alumni Association found you, Chief (Dr.) Paul Oweh, a worthy son of Isoko-nation, and great alumnus of the institution of this highly regarded award for being a Worthy Ambassador of the Great UI!
“Dr. Oweh, my dear constituent, dependable friend, political associate is a worthy alumnus of UI. He is not just a high flyer nationally, but a reference point in the profession of medicine, law and in the political firmament of the nation he bestride like a colossus more than two decades ago.
“Either in law or medicine or in politics, Dr. Paul Oweh stands out as an oasis of sterling integrity and character. He’s man of dazzling brilliance and courage.”
The Isoko federal lawmaker further stated, “he exudes a knack for professionalism, and he exemplifies UI’s motto, “Recte Sapere Fons” which means “For knowledge and sound judgement,” this, have remains his guiding principle as an individual.” Ukodhiko added.
