The University of Ibadan and Australian Universities will be exchanging members of staff and students.
Nigerian High Commissioner in charge of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji Islands, Papua New Guinea, Vanatu and the Pacifics, Ambassador Anderson Madubike, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the University of Ibadan (UI).
Madubike, who was received on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kayode O. Adebowale, by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Ezekiel Olusola Ayoola, said his visit was to encourage students/lecturers’ exchange programmes between UI and Australian universities.
He said that a special delegation from the country would be in UI, University of Lagos (UNILAG) and University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in October 2023, is to further explore opportunities of collaboration and partnerships.
Ayoola assured the visitor that UI is always ready to collaborate with other universities.
He said the current management of the university is building upon the achievements of the past administrations with a view to laying a solid foundation for the future of the university.
