Warri, Delta State – High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of elder statesman and nationalist, Pa (Senator) Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, OFR, CON.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Tompolo extended his sympathies to the Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, as well as the people of the South-South region and Nigeria at large, describing Senator Clark’s demise as a great loss to the nation.
“The news came as a rude shock to me this morning. Even though he was old, he was full of life and still actively engaged. His passing leaves a deep void in the country’s leadership,” Tompolo stated.
He eulogized Senator Clark as a fearless and unwavering advocate for democracy and socio-economic justice, noting his steadfast commitment to speaking truth to power.
“Senator Clark was a strong, irrepressible leader—a voice for the voiceless and a father to the fatherless. His absence will be deeply felt,” he added.
Tompolo prayed for divine strength for the bereaved family and the entire nation to bear the irreparable loss, emphasizing that Nigeria has lost one of its most influential and courageous voices.
Signed:
High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo)
