Delta State Deputy Governor, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, has condoled with the Penawou family of Akugbene Community in Bomadi Local Government Area of the state on the death of their mother, Late Madam Kasuogha Yei-Ebimoere Penawou.
Deacon Otuaro, who led a high power state delegation to the Penawou family at their country home in Akugbene Community, said that the death of their mother came as a rude shock.
The deputy governor, who had on his entourage, the commissioners for Oil and Gas, Prince Emmanuel Angbaduba; Science and Technology, Mr Matthew Ttsekiri, Engineer Jude Sinebe, Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House; Mr Shedrack Agediga, Executive Director, DESOPADEC and Chief Mike Loyibo, among others, condoled with the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government Affairs, Honourable Kelly Penawou and the Iyasere of Akugbene Main Kingdom, Chief Joe Penawou, both sons of the deceased.
Deacon Otuaro said that he heard of the untimely death of Madam Kasuogha Penawou and deemed it necessary to visit the family to condole with them, saying that her demise had created a great vacuum in the heart of those that loved her dearly.
He maintained that Late Madam Kasuogha Penawou lived a life of discipline, having produced the duo of Honourable Kelly Penawou and Chief Joe Penawou, adding that her life reflected service to her community, humanity and God.
The deputy governor prayed God to comfort the family at this moment of grief and encouraged them to maintain the enviable legacies their late mother lived for.
Responding, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government Affairs, Honourable Kelly Penawou and Chief Joe Penawou thanked the deputy governor for the condolence visit, saying that it was an indication of his love for the family and sharing in their grief.
The highpoint of the visit was the signing of the condolence register by the deputy governor, Deacon Otuaro.
Earlier, the deputy governor was at the palace of the Pere of Akugbene Mien Kingdom, Pere Luke Kalanama the Vlll, where he prayed for him and his entourage, saying that the visit showed respect for the traditional institution.
