Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State have charged the people of Ogulagha Community to sustain the existing peace in the Kingdom for more development to come.
Okowa gave the charge today, at the 15th Coronation Anniversary of the Ogulagha monarch in Obotobo in Ogulagha kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of the State.
Governor Okowa, represented by his Deputy, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, noted that the fifteen years reign of His Royal Majesty, Elder Capt. King Joseph I. Timiyan(JP) Torububor 1, Agbonu, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha kingdom, has attracted unprecedented development to the Kingdom.
He added that the State was proud of the Ogulagha monarch, that his reign has transformed the Kingdom.
While enjoining the people of Ogulagha to live in peace and unity and protect government infrastructure to attract more dividends of democracy, Govr. Okowa assured them that the concerns of the Ogulagha monarch would be addressed by relevant agencies.
The Delta State Governor congratulated the Ogulagha paramount ruler for his successful reigns on the exalted throne and wished him God’s divine wisdom to continue piloting the affairs of the kingdom.
Earlier, His Royal Majesty, Elder Capt. King Joseph I. Timiyan(JP) Torububor 1, Agbonu, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha kingdom stated that that within fifteen years of his ascension to the throne, there has been a remarkable transformation.
He called on Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria Limited (SPDC) and other oil companies operating in the environment to ensure good working relationship with the Kingdom as well as employ indigenes of the kingdom in their companies.
The revered monarch noted that within the last 15 years the kingdom has experienced notable change ranging from good road network, stable supply of electricity, provision of pipe borne water amongst others .
While appealing to Government and multinational companies operating in Ogulagha kingdom to do more, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha kingdom thanked the Delta State Government and the oil companies operating in the kingdom for attracting people oriented projects to the areas.
The week long 15th Coronation Anniversary of the paramount ruler of Ogulagha kingdom climaxed with the inauguration of the Palace Hall by the Delta State Deputy Governor, Kingsley Otuaro and the cutting of the anniversary cake.
