Delta State Governor, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has been lauded by the
Third member of the State Civil Service Commission, Chief Akpufuoma Pemu as the governor rolled out palliatives to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal on public servants in the state.
Governor Oborevwori, while inaugurating members of his cabinet in Asaba had promised to pay each public servant #10,000 and also reduced workers working days to three in one week and alternate 2 days in the successive week.
Pemu expressed his appreciation to the Governor today in Asaba during a media chat.
He stated that the kind gestures from the Governor is commendable as would serve as reliefs to public servants.
He was optimistic that this is a sign of good things to come.
In the same vein, Pemu appreciated public servants for their perseverance during this trying times.
Pemu used the medium to admonished public servants to keep up their efforts towards effective service delivery saying that to whom much is given much is expected.
“Your Excellency, you have once again proven that with you more development will be seen and felt by all Deltans”, Pemu said.
