The All Star Football Club (SFC) Warri has warmly congratulated Mr. Onoriode Oborevwori on his nomination as Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission by the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
The announcement followed a letter from the governor to the State House of Assembly, read during Tuesday’s plenary by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor. The letter revealed the nomination of Mr. Joshua Onoriode Oborevwori as Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, alongside Mr. Okeremute Samuel Sodje, Ms. Henrietta Ihiekonye, and Mr. Oghale Ofremu as members.
According to SFC Warri Chairman, Mr. Onobredefe Onos Anthoni, the nomination of Mr. Oborevwori, fondly known as “Onos,” highlights his dedication to advancing the governor’s MORE agenda for sports development in Delta State.
On behalf of the club, Mr. Onobredefe expressed confidence in Onos’ wealth of experience and expertise in sports, describing him as an invaluable asset poised to drive growth and development in the sector.
He emphasized optimism that Onos would harness the principles of the governor’s MORE agenda, particularly its focus on Meaningful Development, to transform the state’s sports landscape through sustained efforts in promoting sporting activities.
