The Lagos Island / Lekki – Peninsula / Epe Chapter known as Hispaniola X Deck of the National Association of Seadogs (NAS) Pyrates Confraternity, covering part of Lagos State including the Eti-Osa Local Government Area (LGA), is set to carry out a General Health Check, with emphasis on eye Care.
The programme is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 19 June, 2021, by 10:00am at the open space in front of the Baale Alfa Beach Palace, Alfa Beach, Lagos.
According to Mr Dere Imilar, the Cap’n of Hispaniola X Deck of NAS, the programme would include Free Eye Tests, Treatment of visual impairment, distribution of Free Eye Glasses, Health Talk and Education (with all Covid-19 safety protocols adherence), distribution of Free Face Masks and Hand Sanitizers, Health Consultation, First Aid Treatment, free malaria treatment and distribution of first aid medical equipment within Alfa Beach and Igbo – Efon Communities within the Eti-Osa LGA of Lagos State.
“We have been involved in many landmark intervention projects, initiatives and agitations, including Community Health Initiatives that resulted in establishment of Primary Health Centres around the country”. Imilar noted while urging the general public to come for the Hispaniola X and Atlantis (America) Decks of NAS Ophthalmic Health Outreach.
Dr. Philip Oragu, Hispaniola X Deck of NAS head of Medical Team, solicited for support in providing necessary members of staff of the Health Care Centers within the Eti-Osa Local Government Council and nearby Local Government Councils to assist the NAS Medical personnel during the programme.
