The Rivers State Elders Council has expressed deep appreciation to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his decisive measures in restoring peace to the state.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Chief Ferdinand Alabraba (OON, DSSRS), the Council acknowledged President Tinubu’s earlier intervention in the state’s political crisis, noting that his efforts as a visionary leader and father of the nation were initially misinterpreted and ridiculed.
“We apologise to Mr President for not seizing that opportunity to put our house in order,” the statement read.
The Elders Council further urged the people of Rivers State to set aside personal and group interests for the collective good of the state. It called for full support of the Sole Administrator in his mission to maintain peace and stability.
The statement underscores the Council’s commitment to fostering unity and progress in Rivers State while aligning with President Tinubu’s broader vision for national stability.
