An International gospel preacher and Pastor in-charge of Shalom Baptist Church of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Ekpan, near Warri, Pst. Opate Bright has sued for peace following the INEC cancellation of the February 16 Presidential/March 2 polls to Saturday February 23 and March 9, 2019.
Pst. Bright while delivering a sermon titled “the Dimensions of God’s Greatness”, Sunday February 17cited Proverbs 3:35, charged youths to be wiser, vote wisely for candidates of their choice and shun violence during and after the polls, adding that the postponement of the elections should be taken for good of Nigeria.
He appealed to Deltans not to be engaged in fighting one another, noting that it won’t help the electioneering process, Pst. Bright urged eligible voters not to be discouraged and come out to vote candidates of their choice without been coerced to do so.
The cleric enjoined Deltans and politicians to preach love among themslves, pointing out that “elections will come and go and Deltans will remain as one people with one goal”.
