Eligible Voters in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State on Saturday, February 23, 2019, massively trooped out for the voting exercise to elect the next President of Nigeria and National Assembly Members.
A visit to the voting centers at Odin College, Unit 17 and Alegbo Primary School, Units 5 and 6, Unit 2, as well as unit 20 all of Ward 1 respectively saw voters arriving as early as 6:45 am and as at Press time 8:05 am, over 1000 voters can seen eagerly waiting for polls to open.
The Delta Central Senatorial Candiate under the paltform of PDP, Hon. Evelyn Oboro who spoke to the newsmen shortly after casting her vote at Unit 5, Ward 1, in Algebo primary school, expressed thanks to the people of Uvwie for their orderly conduct.
She, expressed optimism that victory is sure for her and all PDP canditates across the country. She commended the smooth process at the polling units in Alegbo primary.
The elated voters who were eager to engage in the democratic process, expressed delight at the arrangements put forth by the electoral umpire and the various security agencies.
With the early arrival of voting materals, accreditation and voting commenced immidiately at the various polling units in Effurun. The precess as observed went on smoothly with the electorate seen voting for candidates of their choice without any form of harassment.
