The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State, has said even though it is widely and deeply entrenched as the party of the people in the area, it will not take the people nor the forthcoming local Government elections for granted, but will vigorously campaign for its candidates across the communities and push harder for the all round development of the area to ensure that the people continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
This was disclosed at the inauguration of the Isoko South PDP Campaign Council presided over by the LGA Party Chairman, Odio Hon Obaro Godspower, on Wednesday, June 12, at the party Secretariat in Oleh, with the Chairman of the LGA Caucus and Chief of Staff to the Governor of Delta State, Hon Prince Johnson Erijo, Secretary of the Caucus and member representing Isoko South Constituency 2, Hon Ferguson Onwo, the leader of the party in the LGA, Evangelist (Chief) Solomon Ogba and the Honourable Commissioner for Lands Survey, Chief Emamusi Obiodeh, and various other leaders in attendance,
The Campaign Council includes Mr Fred Odueme as Chairman, Barrister Duncan Afahokor, Director General,
Goodluck Abedi, Deputy Director General, and
Collins Enegheno, Secretary.
Also inaugurated to head the 14 Directorates of the Campaign Council are Chief James Obeuwou, General Mobilisation, Pally Eghove, Women Mobilisation

Included also in the Campaign Council are all PDP Elders and Leaders in the LGA, all former and present elected members,
all former and present political appointees, all former and present PDP LGA EXCO members and all
Ward Chairmen.
Speaking at the occasion, Chairman of the Party Caucus, Prince Erijo, enjoined the members to start work immediately, as time is of the essence, and called on all members of the party to close ranks for a resounding victory to accentuate the status of Isoko South as the highest vote producing area in the state.
Addressing the council members after the inauguration, Odio Obaro Godspower stressed the need to ensure that all communities in the LGA are reached, the call back of persons that may have left the party, addressing any grievances, real or perceived, among members and ensuring that the campaigns are conducted peacefully and without any atom of security breach.
The Isoko South PDP is proud to have elected a young, energetic, visionary, hard working and charismatic Council Chairmanship candidate in the person of Friday Ovoke Warri and an equally intelligent, talented and charming Theresa Ikhrike as his running mate.
Others at the well attended inauguration are Chief Jonathan Arausi who was coordinator of the Isoko South campaign in the last general elections, Vice Chairman of the LGA Caucus, Orezi Esievo, former Delta State Commissioner, Chief Mike Okah, Vied Obi Eneruvie, former Council Chairman and other top leaders and stakeholders of the party.
