Delta State Deputy Governor, Dcn. Kingsley Otuaro has again reiterated that parents are the greatest God’s given assets to children.
Otuaro reiterated this at the Service of Songs held in honour of the mother of the Senior Special Adviser (Political) to Gov Okowa, Chief Mgbabego Godday, Late Mrs. Margaret Azum Mgbabego (Nee Obisue), held at Emu – Obodeti.
According to him, “We are not unaware of the fact that parents and children are the greatest assets to a man and when they pass away, no matter their age, it is always excruciating”.
Otuaro, who said he was honoured to be in Emu – Obodeti, prayed God Almighty to give the children the fortitude, strength and encouragement to overcome the departure of their mother, who died at the age of 80.
“Mummy, we will most certainly miss your mother love and care. Rest on in the bosom of the Lord”. Otuaro noted in the Condolences note.
In an interview with Pressmen, one of the sons of the deceased, Chief Godday Mgbabego, said he was still battling with the reality of his mother’s death, but it’s becoming obvious now that she’s gone.
“No doubt she did not die prematurely, but no age is ripe enough to lose her. Death is inevitable but if I have the powers to decide, she would have lived longer. I thank God for her life.” Chief Mgbabego said.
Dignitaries at the event included the Chairman, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue (BIR) Sir Monday Onyeme , some aides of the Deputy Governor, PDP faithful and clergymen.
