Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro says Rev. Dr. I. C. Tolar, a notable Ijaw leader and man of God who died, Sunday, at 75 years, exhibited a “tremendous leadership style”.
Otuaro, accompanied by top government functionaries, gave the indication yesterday when he paid a condolence visit, yesterday (Monday), on the family of the deceased in Warri.
“Uncle, we will most certainly miss, the tremendous leadership life style in the Lord you lived. Rest in the Lord, Uncle”, were the words the Deputy Governor penned on the condolence register.
Referring earlier to Rev. Dr. Tolar’s exemplary leadership life, straddling both godly devotion and community development, earning him Ijaw national regard, Otuaro admonished: “Uncle Tolar lived a fulfilled life while on earth. Be consoled in the Lord who I pray will grant you the fortitude to bear the great loss. The Lord alone knows why he took our uncle away”.
Jude Tolar, son of the deceased, who responded on behalf of the family, expressed thanks to Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro and his entourage for the comforting visit in the family’s moment of grief.
On the entourage of the Deputy Governor were Hon Emomotimi Guwor, member Delta State House of Assembly representing Warri South-West LGA, Dr Paul Bebenimibo, Member, Board of DESOPADEC, Hon Taiye Tuoyor, Chairman Warri South-West LGA, amongst others.
