The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, has commiserated with the Overah family of Sapele over the death of Hon. Joyce Overah, who died two weeks ago.
Otuaro said the government was shocked with the news of the demise of Hon. Joyce Overah and have come to condole with the Overah Family, to comfort and strengthen them in times like this and prayed for God Almighty should strengthen and comfort them.
The deputy governor also prayed God to give the Overah family the Grace to work together in unity, with strength of purpose as they go about making arrangements to lay him to rest.
Otuaro said the Delta state government hope to be duly informed of all arrangements about his burial as the government wished be an integra part of the burial process pointing out that the virtues and legacy Joyce Overah lived for will not be lost.
He described Late Overah as a man that believed in dedication, service to God and service to humanity, that these virtues can be attested for to his honour.
The deputy governor described Overah as a highly respected statesman, humble, hard working and resourceful in terms of contributions to technical and tactical details of government.
Highlight of the visit was the signing of the condolence register by His Excellency, Kingsley Otuaro, the Deputy Governor of Delta state.
Present at the occasion among others were: The member representing Sapele local government at the Delta state House of Assembly, Hon. Felix Anirah, Commissioner For Agriculture, Delta State, Hon. Julius Egbedi, Dr. Jude, CSO Government House Asaba, Hon. Ayemidejor, Manager, Delta State Airport, Asaba, and Hon. Eugene okpeh Inoaghan, Chairman Sapele local government Area.
