The State Deputy Governor, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro has charged political aides and staff under his office to show more commitment to their duties in order to further promote the policies and programmes of the Okowa administration in line with the stronger delta vision.
Deacon Otuaro stated this today during a prayer session with political aides and staff in his office to mark the beginning of the year.
The Deputy Governor who was represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff,Engineer Jude Sinebe said there was need for political aides and staff of the Deputy Governor’s office to surpass their achievements in 2019 by showing more commitment to their duties.
He noted that to achieve results in their duties commitment was required as the office would witness more activities in 2020 hence the need for all to be up and doing.
Deacon Otuaro commended political aides and staff for their efforts in promoting the policies and programmes of government in 2019 stressing that more was required in the new year.
The Deputy Governor urged political aides and staff to be time conscious and take their duties seriously as several activities such as trainings through seminars and workshops have be outlined for them in 2020.
While appreciating his aides and staff for their commitment, Deacon Otuaro prayed that their heart desires would be met by God in the new year.
In a brief sermon,Deacon Chris Akujinwa urged the people to guard their minds from fear and negative attitudes as whatever they allowed into their minds would affect them positively or negatively.
He said anger, bitterness and frustration should not be allowed to creep into their minds but should be firm to allow the right issues flow into their minds.
Deacon Akujinwa who is also a Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor Political admonished the people to be resolute in the new year and thanked God for the affirmation of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as the Governor of the state by the Supreme Court.
Political Aides, Heads of Departments and staff as well as the Press Unit of the office of the Deputy Governor attended the prayer session which holds every first Monday of the month.
