16th April of every year is a day these inmates look forward to as they are certain that one Barrister Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro must pay them a visit to celebrate his birthday anniversary.
The Delta State Deputy Governor Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro did not fall short of their expectations as he visited these inmates at the Warri Custodial Centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service to evangelise the Word of God to the inmates as part of ways to mark his birthday this year.
Deacon Kingsley Otuaro told the inmates that their coming to the world is not by chance nor accident but divinely orchestrated by God.
Otuaro advised the inmates to strive to fulfill their natural and divine destinies while on earth..
The State number two man disclosed that he has evangelised the word of God to the inmates of Warri Custodial Centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service for the past Seventeen years and this has been fruitful.
The Deputy Governor promised that the government will tackle some of the challenges facing the inmates of the Warri Custodial Centre.
Deacon Otuaro said the state government will be hosting a football Tournament in October this year in commemoration of Nigeria’s Independence at the Warri Custodial Centre.
The Deputy Comptroller of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Warri Custodial Centre, Mr Effiong Etim commended the Deputy Governor for his consistency in contributing to the spiritual growth of the Warri Custodial Centre.
He appealed to the Deputy Governor to provide Centres for skills acquisition and give educational support among others.
In his usual manner, the Deputy Governor Barrister Kingsley Burutu Otuaro led some of the inmates to Christ by praying for them.
High point of the celebration was the cutting of birthday cake of the Deputy Governor.
