The Aniocha North Local Government Area Executive Chairman, Hon Chukjwugozie Oseme has commended the Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for his giant strides in the area including massive road construction and rehabilitation as well as other infrastructural development attracted to the various communities of the Council.
The Council boss gave the commendation while speaking with the State Exco of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria ( OMPAN) Delta State Chapter that paid him a courtesy visit in Issele-Uku over the week.
While pouring encomiums on Governor Okowa for assisting in offsetting Council workers salary arrears, Hon Oseme described him as a steadfast leader with the interest of the masses at heart.
Hon. Oseme stated that the Council has never had it so well coupled with the economic recession that plaged the country and gave assurance that the return of Gov Okowa on 2019 will enable him perform better and address the challenges of the people at all levels.
The Aniocha North Council boss enjoined Deltans to vote for all candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party to enable the party takeover the presidency and for Governor Okowa to do more with his SMART agenda.
With a heart full of joy, Hon. Oseme also thanked the Chairman of Delta State Civil Service Commission, Chief Mrs Nkem Okwuofu, whom he described as a mother to him and all other PDP leaders saying she has become a rallying point in the Council and the state at large.
He pledged to redouble his efforts in the transformation of the local government in partnership with stakeholders.
On his alleged impeachment threat on the social media, he said it was a mere speculation that was planted to cause disaffection .
The Aniocha North Council boss stated that he was in cordial relationship with the legislative arm, all PDP members and stakeholders of the Council.
He said he was already working with security agencies to tackle the problem of kidnapping and armed banditry threatening the peace of the area to enable the people enjoy a hitch free yuletide.
The State chairman of OMPAN Comrade Legacy Bardi said the visit was to seek partnership with the Council Chairman in bringing good governance to the electorate.
He enjoined Online Media practitioners to adhere strictly to high ethical standards in the dissemination of information adding that the new media should not be turned to den of fake news.
Comrade Bardi sued for objective reportage from mediamen before, during and after the 2019 general elections.
