DELTA State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, has urged Christians to continuously support the growth of the Church.
The Deputy Governor who was accompanied by his wife, Catherine, made the call yesterday at the wedding ceremony between Ogochukwu Calista and Ekene Precious at Rhema City International Reconciliation Church, Okpanam, Delta State.
He said, “Christians should continue to support the body of Christ and the growth of the Church.
“As the church is growing the children of God will be growing.”
The Deputy Governor, while congratulating the couple for resolving to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife, urged parents to
always guide their children to engage in positive activities.
He disclosed that Hon. Ekene Precious, is the Councilor representing his Ward, Onicha-Ukwuani, Ward 5, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State
The officiating Minister, Apostle Norbeth Imala, decried situation where people rush into marriage and after few months, the marriage will collapse.
He noted that, “if a marriage must last, it must be rooted in the fear of God.
“When there is the fear of God in marriage, the marriage will survive all situations, so, always look up to God.
“When a man or woman have the fear of God, they hardly fall short of expectations.
“The more you push to God, the more you enjoy your marriage.”
Some dignitaries who accompanied Sir Onyeme to the ceremony include the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Sir Christopher Osakwe, Secretary, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State, Engr. Dan Ossai, Chief Lucky Ossai, among others.
