Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme on Saturday, met the Governorship candidate of the Labour Party, LP in the state, Mr Ken Pela.
Onyeme had a joint ticket with the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 2023 general elections.
Also in the gathering were the leader of LP, South South region, Dr Kenneth Olise, Secretary, PDP, Delta State, Engr. Dan Ossai and the House of Representatives candidate of the Labour Party for Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency, in the last general elections, Dr Gift Okwuolise.
They met at the burial ceremony of Mrs Rebecca Chukwuma at Utagba-Uno, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was a meeting that witnessed the throwing of banters as the Chairman, Labour Party in Delta, Mr Tony Ezeagwu, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chieftain in the state Rear Admiral Mike Onah, rtd, Deputy Chief of Staff, Sir Christopher Osakwe, Barr. Sam Osasa, Barr. Ernest Ogwezzy, Hon. Azuka Azaka, Chief Greg Edeme, Chief Nelson Nmor, Lawrence Odili (Otua), among others.
Secretary, Maris Trust Council, MTC, Comrade Fidelis Egugbo who was at the event, said that the good thing about democracy is that “elections are more of family affairs in Delta State.
“Elections are over and it is time for fence mending for all hands to be on deck for the development of Delta State.”
Dr. Kenneth Olise, is also, the Chairman, Maris Trust Council, MTC.
