THE Majority and Member representing Isoko South Constituency II at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Ferguson Onwo KSC, has thanked delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the constituency for his landslide victory in the primary State House of Assembly the primary election held yesterday.
In a statement personally signed by him, the lawmaker also thanked the State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and other party leaders in his constituency and beyond, who stood firmly behind him. He attributed his victory to the collective desire of all party men and women to build stronger democratic institutions where the wishes of the people are respected to the letter.
While thanking his opponents who voluntarily withdrew from the race for him to emerge as the constituency’s consensus candidate, Onwo noted that their sacrifices will never go unappreciated , adding that his zeal to deliver meaningful and people-oriented representation has once again been re-energized.
“I am most honored to get your support to fly the party’s flag once again. In this my tenure that will soon come to an end, my works speak for me and I am sure it is on this basis that the people have unanimously chosen me to represent the party at next year’s election.
“I can assure you as always, I will never fail to represent you to the best of my abilities. I also appreciate our dear Governor Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and other leaders, elders and stakeholders of the party from far and near who stood to ensure that the primaries are free and fair, credible and devoid of any element of rancor”, he said.
