President Mohammadu Buhari have been advised not to allow political merchants lure him into becoming partial and partisan in the Ondo State gubernatorial election scheduled to hold tomorrow.
The Vice President of the Movement For The Survival Of Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in Niger Delta (MOSIEND), Comrade (High Chief) Thompson Fuoye who gave the advice today while addressing newsmen on the State of the nation as parts of the activities marking his birthday said, any attempt by the president to allow himself to be lured will erase the current accolade he received from the outcome of the just concluded Edo election.
High Chief Fuoye who noted that the president was well commended for the neutral and fatherly role he played in the last Edo State governorship election asserted that, for him to keep receiving accolades, he needs to be firm in his neutrality irrespective of party affiliation.
He used the ocassion to charged the Ijaws in Ondo State and other areas to be united in order to form a formidable force and be politically relevant in the State elections.
Reacting on the ongoing speculation of which ethnic group to produce the Delta State Governor in 2023, the Vice President of MOSIEND urge all ethnic nationalities in Delta State to be guided in their speech about who becomes the next governor of the State. He noted that, the sole power of who becomes governor rest with the Almighty God through the electorate
High Chief Fuoye While advocating the importance of ethnic coexistence in the Niger Delta, appealed to youths to always embrace peace and explore dialogue as mode of settlement and not engaging in the act of war.
