The immediate past woman leader and social mobilizer for Okowa second term bid, Mrs. Christy Odimegwu has described Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as a God fearing man who has brought uncommon transformation across the three senatorial districts of the State, since his election as Governor of Delta State.
She stated this in her congratulatory message to Governor Okowa after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared him winner of the just concluded polls of 9th March, 2019.
The woman leader thanked Deltans for their massive turn up during the elections and their overwhelming support to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Odimegwu specially thanked the women folks for keeping faith with PDP and assured them that Okowa’s administration would do more to improve on their welfare.
The action woman also used the opportunity to congratulate the newly elected member representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi and the first timer Member-elect to represent Aniocha South Constituency, Hon. Austine Chikezie who is an illustrious son of Nsukwa clan.
The woman leader again used the opportunity to appeal to Governor Okowa to address the deplorable Ewulu/ Isheagu road which the subsequent administrations neglected.
She noted that these two communities are agrarian communities but due to the bad nature of the road, the potentials of the communities are not properly harnessed.
She enjoined all the elected members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP to be good ambassadors of the party and ensure to perform excellently to boost the well being of Deltans.
