Deltans have been called upon to offer credible information to security agencies that can help track down criminals in all parts of the State.
The Director General, Security Matters in Delta State Hon David Tonwe made the call in Asaba while speaking on plans to ensure adequate security in this Ember months.
Hon Tonwe said Operation Still Water was flagged of in Asaba by the Nigerian Army in partnership with other security agencies as a proactive measure to strengthen security in all parts of the state.
He said men of the Operation Delta Hawk were currently on twenty four hours patrols in major routes in the three senatorial districts of the state to forestall breakdown of order and urged residents of the State to be at alert and report suspicious movement to security operatives for prompt action.
He advised persons not satisfied with the activities of men of the Operation Delta Hawk to call the phone numbers on their vehicles for complaints emphasizing that any of them caught in the web of bribe or any other form of misconduct would face severe sanctions.
Hon Tonwe lauded Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his contributions towards the effective policing of the State and assured him that no effort would be spared in making the state an unsafe ground for criminals.
He expressed joy that the upland and the creeks were peaceful and appealed to all to join hands with the state government in the arrest and prosecution of mischief makers.
