The President General, Austin Emaduku, and other executive members of Union of Udu Communities (UUC) in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State have been sworn in.
The swearing in ceremony took place at the Udu Kingdom Hall, within the Ovie Palace Complex, at Otor-Udu, the ancestral headquarters of the Udu people.
Those inaugurated to the new leadership of UUC included Comrade Austin Emaduku as President-General (PG); Evangelist Andrew Dokie, First Vice President; Honourable Patrick Okorugbo, Assistant Secretary General; Chief Peter Akunuhor, Assistant Public Relations Officer; Deacon Nigeria Okorode, First Otota; Mr James Sibitor, First Welfare Officer and Mr John Okere, Second Welfare Officer.
Others were Comrade Sunday Subi, Auditor 1; Mr Josiah Golah, Auditor 11; Barrister Moses Segba, Legal Adviser; Mr Leleji Adadja, Ex-Officio; Chief Moro Potokri, Ex-Officio; Owhrode and Mr John Kurame, Ex-Officio, Uloho.
The swearing in was administered by Odion, a lawyer.
Speaking shortly after being sworn in, Emaduku said his leadership would work with the Ovie of Udu Kingdom, Owhorun 1, to improve on the fortunes of the people.
Comrade Emaduku said that he would work with other relevant stakeholders, including presidents of Udu communities and security agencies in the Kingdom to strengthen security and peace in the area, adding that in the next four years, he would strive to consolidate the bond of unity among Udu people.
The PG called for support to move the Kingdom forward just as other members of the union pledged to work with the PG to actualise his dream for the kingdom.
