The Member representing Sapele State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Hon. Chief Felix Uruemuesiri Anirah, has noted that the Delta State Governor Elect and Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, would improve on the solid achievements of Governor of the State, His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa .
Anirah disclosed this while speaking to DTHA correspondents in his office at Asaba, the state capital today.
He said with the experience of Oborevwori as Speaker for almost six years, He is very sure that the Governor Elect would improve on the fantastic achievements of Governor Okowa, especially in the areas of Agriculture development, by providing quality roads that would link up the Rural areas to the Urban areas, and that it is through the rural areas that he can improve on Agricultural supplies that would better the life of Deltans.
Anirah equally draw the attention of the Governor Elect on the need to continually link the rural areas to the cities by way of building more bridges and quality roads that would stand the test of time.
The Member representing Sapele State Constituency in the DTHA hail the Governor Elect for his quality leadership style that has brought enduring peace in the state house of assembly, by creating quality synergy between the legislative and the executive arms, adding that he is sure that Oborevwori would bring the much desire peace and development to the state.
On his expectations, Hon. Anirah said he knew that the governor elect would learn from the mistake of Governor Okowa, and as a politician who has been in government for quite a while, he should improve on what he had seen physically. “He should be calm. He should be tolerant and accommodating, and he should investigate thoroughly before taking actions.
“I expected Oborevwori to concentrate more in the rural areas, because they are the food basket of the State. They need good road network to improve on their agricultural produce and supplies to better the life of Deltans. The Governor Elect must as a matter of urgency handle the state agriculture in the rural areas with tenacity by empowering our rural farmers to have access to funds, and provide the necessary agricultural input.”
Hon. Anirah, who admitted that the governor elect is a very good friend the Okpe nation is proud of, thanked Governor Okowa for his laudable support for an Okpe Man to be Governor Elect, that the good people of Okpe nation were grateful to God Almighty and to him.
He assured Governor Okowa that the Okpe and Deltans as a whole would never forget him, that he will always remain in their hearts and the people will keep praying for him wherever he goes, and God will surely bless and keep Gov Okowa.
