Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori will on Tuesday, 17th December, declare open the 5th edition of Delta State Communication Workshop with the Theme – ADVANCING DELTA: STRATEGIES FOR PUBLIC COMMUNICATION AND EFFECTIVE MEDIA ENGAGEMENT.
The Workshop is a 3-Day brain storming exercise designed to sharpen the skills of media aides to Delta State Governor, social media Influencers and media partners, so as to enable them effectively and efficiently project the numerous achievements of the governor in the ongoing implementation of his MORE agenda.
State Workshop Coordinator and Director General, Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, in a statement on Sunday, said the event will take place at the prestigious Hotel Benizia, off DBS Road, Asaba, beginning from 10am.
The Honourable Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor, will be guest of honour, and shall be speaking on the Strategic Roles of Media Aides/Government Spokespersons in Public Information Management.
Dr Oghenesivbe further disclosed that Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, will present an overview of the MORE Agenda of the state governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, so as to enable DELCOM participants align with the Theme of the workshop.
Delcom 2024 is organised by the State Government through the Office of the Director General, State Bureau of Orientation and Communications, in conjunction with the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
The Honourable Commissioner for Information, Dr Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, is the Chief Host of DELCOM 2024, and will take participants through the state government’s communication policy as it relates to the ongoing implementation of the MORE Agenda.
Dr Oghenesivbe humbly appeal to all Senior Government Officials, Invited guests and workshop participants to be seated on or before 9:30 am on Tuesday 17th December, 2024, at Hotel Benizia Asaba, venue of the opening ceremony.
