In view of the primary functions of the Press Centre which include a platform for press conferences, writing and filing reports and social relaxation for journalists, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council has commenced utilisation of the multi purpose NUJ Hall, NUJ Gallery, NUJ Business Centre, NUJ Guest Rooms for commercial purposes by the public, including spaces for rent to run bar, canteen and other petty businesses.
This is informing the public that the Union is open for business patronages as a way of further engaging the society and boosting the cordial relationship with members of the press.
Please note that as the fourth estate of the realm, we do not segregate or intend to segregate any segment of the society that wishes to patronise us to host events at the press centre.
It is hereby declared that the floodgate is open to business consultants, event managers, corporate entities, groups, political parties, individuals, etc to approach the Union’s Secretariat along Maryam Babangida Way for business negotiations and contracts.
As professionals with track records of working partnership with the society, it is our utmost obligation to serve the public responsibly and respectfully.
Based on this, we are assuring the public that we will do our best to satisfy their yearnings and desires in terms of business partnership.
We also use this medium to call on our members to be in their best form and conduct as people from various walks of life begin to mix up with us at the press centre.
Once again, we appreciate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the Government of Delta State for the gift of a press centre and other supports given to NUJ Delta State Council, even as the union assures of continuing the discharge of her constitutional responsibilities, particularly as we approach the 2023 general elections.
