The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Ministry of Information Chapel, has commended the Commissioner for Information in the state, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, over his unprecedented transformational strides in the ministry.
The chapel gave the commendation in a communique issued after a major congress in the ministry in Asaba, during which it called for the reappointment of Aniagwu as the Commissioner for Information by the incoming administration in the state.
In the communique the chapel specifically highlighted the advancement of the ministry to include the recent creation of two additional departments of Field Publicity and New Media in the ministry, introduction of welfare packages to boost the morale of staff towards enhanced productivity, showing unflinching commitment in assisting bereaved staff and ensuring regular quality training of staff outside the state, among other unprecedented packages.
The chapel in the communique stated that Aniagwu alongside some other critical stakeholders, including the Head of Service in the state, Mr. Reginald Bayoko, the Chairman of the NUJ in the state, Comrade Mike Ikeogwu, among very many others, deserved a place in the hearts of members of the chapel in their prayers, adding that the ministry could not have been so transformed without their selfless support.
The communique was signed by the Chairman and the Secretary of the chapel, Comrades Kenneth Obieh and Kanayo Azinge respectively.
