The State Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Jigawa State, Mallam Ahmed Tijjani Ibrahim, has called on the Muslim Ummah in the state to use the holy month of Ramadan for sober reflection, prayers for peace, security, and progress of the state and the nation at large.
This was contained in a statement by Comrade Sarah Ogodo, Head of Media and Communication of NOA in Jigawa State, on behalf of the State Director and made available to pressmen on Sunday
Mallam Ibrahim encouraged Muslim faithful to be fully committed to the 2025 Ramadan fasting exercise, which is one of the five pillars of Islam.
Describing Ramadan as a sacred period of spiritual refinement, he charged Muslims to rededicate their lives to Allah (SWT) through devotion, patience, self-restraint, and acts of kindness. He further urged them to extend a helping hand to the less privileged as a way of strengthening love, unity, and brotherhood in society.
The Director assured that NOA would collaborate with the Jigawa State Government to observe and monitor Ramadan activities to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free fasting period across the state.
He concluded by praying for Allah’s acceptance of the fasting exercise and a blessed Ramadan for all Muslims.
