The Director General, National Orientation Agency ( NOA) Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu has stated that the Agency is being strategically repositioned for effective service delivery and the days of NOA winking in the dark are over.
Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu made this known on Friday while speaking as a guest on a Sobi FM Radio Programme where he highlighted the Agency’s efforts towards achieving a CLHEEAN Community.
The Director General explained that soon, there will be an unveiling of a new strategic approach towards resolving the multifaceted challenges bedeviling the country by President Tinubu.
He stressed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government places a great value on reorientation and attitudinal change knowing fully that without positive attitude and reorientation, there can’t be development.
“ It was because of this, our parent Ministry was renamed the Ministry of Information and National Orientation to fastrack an effective national rebirth,” Onilu said.
Giving an insight into the strategic approach, which is called CLHEEAN, the NOA Director General stated that “CLHEEAN encapsulates our various activities and engagements with the various government institutions, development partners, civil society organisations, and the three tiers of government and it refers to the broad areas of Crime and Lawlessness, Health and Hygiene, Environment, Education, Abuse and Narcotics,”.
He added that NOA is also engaging youth with its soon to be consituted Citizens Brigade and social media app (Mobiliser)as well as the inclusion of a civic education oriented subject in the curriculum across all educational levels.
All of these, according to the NOA DG and the national value charter are efforts to build the nation of our dreams and reawaken the spirit of patriotism in all Nigerians.
