The Chairman, Delta State Civil Service Commission, Dame Patience Okwuofu, has resigned her position with immediate effect from the Commission.
Her resignation was disclosed in release from the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O Oborevwori, approving her voluntary resignation of appointment of the Chairman of the Commission.
According to the Governor’s approval, which was signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, that was dated Monday, 17 July, 2023 “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public particularly Deltans, that the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.0 Oborevwori has approved the voluntary resignation of appointment of the Chairman, Civil Service Commission, Dame Patience Okwuofu with immediate effect.
“His Excellency wishes to express his gratitude to Dame Patience Okwuofu for her contributions towards the growth of the civil service in the state which has brought about series of reforms that have positively transformed the state civil service.
“The Governor therefore uses this medium to thank her for her service to the state and to wish her well in her future endeavours”.
The SSG signed release also added that “In the same vein, His Excellency has approved the appointment of Mr Anthony Ofoni as Special Adviser
“The date of the swearing-in of the new Special Adviser will be announced in due course.”
