The Chairman of Asaba chapter of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Barr. Precious Nwadimuya has promise to support Community Based Organisation with the relevant laws to promptly implement Human Rights issues.
The Chairman stated this when members of the State Advocacy Team implementing the Covid-19 Response Mechanism and Resilient and Sustainable System for Health Strengthening System and Community Strengthening System (C-19RSSH-CSS) during a courtesy visit to his office.
He commended the group for the noble and selfless task they have undertaken in other to give succour and pride to the less privileged in the society saying that it would enable them to know their rights and how to use it effectively.
In a case were human rights are violated the NBA chairman assured the team of their full support to assist victims get justice promptly.
Earlier, the SAT leader, Pastor Greg Sifo said the team came to seek for NBA synergy in other to facilitate so many litigation cases arising from stigmatisation, discrimination and Human Rights issues in the course of program implemention.
He said the judiciary is the last hope of the common man and he believed in their capacity to bring succour to to the less privilege in the society.
The State NEPWHAN Coordinator, Mr. Christopher Ogberetitinor disclosed that some relevant bills have been signed into law which he believes will effectively assist the judiciary in checkmating violators of these crime to a reasonable extent.
The State Programe Officer and the Tuberculosis Coordinator, Miss Juliet Obiajulu and Mr Miracle Onyeukwu respectively also disclosed that the partnership with the legal profession will be of great support achieving laudable
success stories in the course of the program implementation.
