ABARI/Nigeria: Lawyer, humanist and Director of Legal, Delta State Contributing Health Commission, Barr. Richard Nagberi, and his siblings, are set to bury their late father, Pa. Mieseigha Alale Nagberi, a retired diplomat from the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Until his transition to glory, Pa Nagberi, aged 87 year, was a devout christian and a strong mobilizer of all folk for peaceful coexistence of residents in his locality.
A lover of western education, Pa Mieseigha Alale Nagberi ensured that all his children got the right education to enhance their leadership roles in the society. He is also the father of Timi Vincent Nagberi, a consummate IT expert in Delta State.
The burial arrangements as announced by the family indicated that there would be a Service of songs on Tuesday, 10 January, 2023, at No 4 Eze Obi Ujukwu street, opposite Marble Hill junction, off Okpanam road, Asaba, beginning from 4:00 pm.
It added that his remains Funeral Service would be on Friday, 13 January, 2023, by 10am at Saint Philemon’s Anglican Church, Preware Quarters, Abari, to be followed by interment at Pa Alale Nagberi’s Compound in Preware Quarters, Abari, Patani Local Government Area of Delta State
The announcement also stated that a Thanksgiving Service for the repose of his gentle soul has been slated for Sunday, 15 January, 2023, at St Philemon’s Anglican Church, Preware Quarters, Abari.
According to Barr. Richard Nagberi “Our father passed on at the age of 87 and on Friday, January 13, there will be a funeral service and discourse in his honour at the St Philemon’s Anglican Church, Preware Quarters, Abari, thereafter, there will be internment and reception ceremony”.
The Director of Legal in the Delta State Contributing Health Commission is the eldest son of the deceased and since the passage of his father, he has been receiving condolence messages and assurances from people of all walks of life particularly, lawyers, DELSU Alumnus and his like minds in the humanitarian service that they will join him as he bids his father farewell.
May his gentle soul rest in the bosom of our Lord ! Amen !!!
