A 44-year-old man named Mr. Olanrewaju Kolawole was left in tears after DNA test results confirmed that none of his four children were biologically related to him.
The shocking revelation came to light in a viral video, capturing the heartbreaking moment when Kolawole discovered that his children were not his own.
Kolawole, who hails from Ikire in Osun State, had four children with his wife, Mrs. Tella Toyin. Their children, Ayomide (16), Sarah (12), and two other children aged 8 and 5, were all believed to be their biological offspring.
The truth about the paternity fraud emerged during an appearance by Kolawole and Toyin on the popular radio show “Kokoro Alate” on Agidigbo FM in Ibadan. The show, hosted by Oriyomi Hamzat, shed light on the situation.
After the initial DNA test revealed that the first child was not his biological child, Kolawole decided to conduct tests on the remaining three children. Unfortunately, all the results came back negative.
Expressing his anguish, Kolawole pleaded for help, stating, “I want Nigerians to come to my rescue because I must not suffer this in vain. I married Toyin in 2007 and gave birth to four children. She gave birth to four children, but none of them belongs to me after findings from a DNA test.”
When questioned about his motivation for conducting the tests, Kolawole explained that he had noticed suspicious behavior from his wife, leading him to doubt the children’s paternity.
The DNA tests were conducted at the DDC DNA Diagnostic Center in Osogbo.
In response to the devastating news, Mrs. Tella Toyin disputed the results, claiming that she was not present when the samples were taken and did not know which samples were used.
She vehemently declared, “I don’t accept the result. I don’t accept it because I was not there when they took samples, and I don’t know which sample they took, so I don’t accept it. I can’t accept it because I know how I conceived those children.”
The couple, who have been married since 2007 and attend the same church in the Ikoyi area of Osun State, now face the difficult task of navigating this painful revelation.
