Commissioner for Youth Development Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, has advised corp members to choose the best, out of the work space they find themselves, especially during their service year.
Comrade Egwunyenga gave the advice during the send off ceremony for two out gone corp members of Batch 21 A, stream 1, Miss Nonye Nwadike and Miss Fehintola Oladele.
He stated: ” NYSC is a period where destinies are moulded, futures are being defined, I urge you to make use of the opportunity you have, the most we can do for you as a Ministry is to help you build a future, while you enhance your capacity.”
Comrade Egwunyenga, commended the two ex corp members, for their neatness, polite attitude and their proactive nature in line with task assigned to them and encouraged them to keep soaring, as he wished them success.
In her remark, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Ms Ngozi Mogbolu, commended the out gone corps members for their display of good morals, and commitment to duty
“You were exceptional, I have worked with some other copers but you are copers with honour, I pray for you to excel in all you desire to do,” she said.
The Director of Administration Mrs Christy Enuma, the Chief store officer Mrs Lucy Agbeha-Akadiri, the Public Relations officer of the Ministry, Mrs Ese Obote-Ogwu and one of the personal assistant to the commissioner for youth development, Miss Judith James, described the out gone corps, as exceptional, diligent and selfless during their service year.
Miss Fehintola Oladele, on behalf of the out gone corp member, in her thank you message, said they were happy they served in the ministry, and were overwhelmed with the show of love and support they got.
The high point of the event was the presentation of gifts to them.
