The Delta State Government has described the Late Hon. Joyce Ovarah as a noble man and one of the finest public servant who believes in togetherness and collectivity of a people.
The Delta State Deputy Governor Barr. Kingsley Otuaro stated this, while expressing the state government condolence to the family of late Hon. Joyce Overah, who until his death was a Commissioner in DESOPADEC representing Ethiope West, Sapele and Okpe local government respectively in the Commission.
The deputy governor who led a high powered government delegation to shell road Sapele to condole the mother, wife, children and other members of the Late Commissioner’s family, described the departed Joyce Overah as one of the finest and most dedicated politician who used all his time and experience to serve the state.
According to him; “As a government, Joyce Ovarah was one of our finest and we received the news of his passing on to glory with an amazing shock. We are here today on behalf of government of Delta State to pay condolence to the family of Overah. To condole them, to strengthen them, and to comfort them in the lord. It is our prayers that the family of our late Overah will be covered and protected by the Lord himself ”
“Today, many of us are quite pained by his death. He was my very close friend. It is our prayers that God Almighty will comfort and grant the family the fortitude to take on this irreparable loss. I urge the family members to work with unity, strength and purpose during and after the final burial rites.”
“We as a state will be an integral part of all the process that will lead to a proper funeral rites. I want to encourage members of the family to take heart and it is our hope that his virtues and legacies will be upheld in honour of the amazing life he lived”.
Hon. Joyce Overah was a humble man, a man who believed in togetherness and collectivity of the people, a man who believed in dedication and service to God and humanity. I urge you to ensure that all of these virtues and legacies he lived for and believed in will be perpetuated for posterity”. Barr. Otuaro stated.
