The Leader of the Renewed Hope Volunteers Youths Movement of Nigeria (RHVYMN), Alhaji Awo D. Harmony, has declared Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the ideal candidate for the governorship of Lagos State in 2027, describing him as exceptionally qualified and capable.
In a statement issued in Abuja, Alhaji Harmony emphasized that Seyi Tinubu’s qualifications transcend his lineage, highlighting his leadership skills, philanthropic initiatives, and vision for development.
“Seyi’s suitability for Lagos governorship goes beyond being the president’s son,” Harmony stated. “His philanthropic efforts and leadership acumen position him as an exceptional candidate to lead Lagos State toward prosperity and innovation.”

He pointed to Seyi’s notable charitable activities, such as his support for flood victims in Borno State, as evidence of his selflessness and commitment to the welfare of Nigerians. “This demonstrates his compassion and dedication to improving the lives of the people,” Harmony added.

Alhaji Harmony also highlighted the value of having a young and dynamic leader like Seyi at the helm. “His youthfulness and vibrancy will bring fresh perspectives to governance in Lagos State. Being more in tune with the aspirations of younger generations, he is well-equipped to drive progress and creativity while building on the legacies of past administrations in line with modern trends.”
He further noted that Seyi Tinubu’s potential governorship would be a continuation of the solid foundation laid by his father, President Bola Tinubu, who played a pivotal role in Lagos State’s development. “Seyi is poised to not only sustain but elevate his father’s legacy, taking Lagos to even greater heights,” Harmony remarked.
Addressing possible criticisms, Alhaji Harmony drew a comparison to former U.S. President George W. Bush, who served as governor while his father was president and later became president himself. “Seyi Tinubu possesses a unique combination of intellect, empathy, and strategic foresight that makes him an outstanding candidate,” he stated.
He called on Lagosians to support Seyi Tinubu’s governorship ambition, emphasizing the importance of youth inclusion in leadership. “It’s time to give the youths a chance to lead, and Seyi Tinubu is the perfect candidate for the job.
