The Order of the Knights of St. Mulumba (KSM), Benin Metropolitan Council, has elevated the Director of Administration and Human Resources at the Delta State Contributory Health Commission and National Auditor of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN), Comrade Bolum Nwachukwu (KSM), alongside other distinguished members, to the prestigious 3rd Degree Admission and Investiture.
The solemn investiture ceremony, attended by high-ranking officials and members of the Catholic fraternal order, marked a significant milestone in the spiritual and leadership journey of the inductees.
Speaking at the ceremony which saw the induction of 37 new brothers into knighthood, as well as admitting 83 brothers and 84 sisters, including widows who had successfully passed their examinations, into the 3rd Degree, the Benin Metropolitan Grand Knight, Sir Moses Iyasere (KSM), described the 3rd Degree rank as a symbol of deeper commitment to the order’s core values of charity, unity, and selfless service to both the Church and society.

He emphasized the importance of knighthood in the Church, describing it as a means of serving the Church, the Bishop, priests, and society by actively participating in Church activities and charitable endeavors.
In his remarks, Comr. Nwachukwu (KSM) expressed gratitude for his elevation, acknowledging the opportunity to deepen his commitment to faith and service.
“The Knights of St. Mulumba is a respected Catholic organization that plays a vital role in promoting social justice, humanitarian efforts, and the advancement of Christian values. I am known for my dedication to public service and ethical leadership, and I am grateful to God for bringing me this far. This is the Lord’s doing, and I will continue to uphold the spirit of the Church, never relenting in charity and service to others,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, the Deputy Metropolitan Grand Knight, Sir Austin Chiejina, highlighted the requirements for becoming a knight.
“One must be between the ages of 30 and 60 before being admitted into the order. Additionally, one must be a practicing Catholic, baptized, confirmed, a communicant, and most importantly, married,” he explained.
In the same vein, the Metropolitan Public Relations Officer, Bro Kingsley, encouraged practicing Catholics to consider joining the KSM. He noted that knighthood is open to all who are willing to serve God and the Church through selfless dedication and moral leadership.
