The Chairman of FELD Foundation and a prominent politician in Delta State, Hon. Paul Adingwupu, has urged Nigerians not to despair amid the present economic challenges, but to remain resolute for a better tomorrow.
Adingwupu made the call on Saturday, in his 2024 Christmas goodwill message to Nigerians, noting that the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has given us hope against all odds. So, being alive alone is enough reason to give thanks to God for His matchless grace, love and protection in today’s highly disruptive and volatile world.
According to Adingwupu “As we gather with our loved ones to celebrate Christmas and anticipate the arrival of a new year, let us also remember the incredible resilience, compassion, and strength that unites us all in times of both joy and challenge. For God created us, on purpose and for a purpose, and He has equipped us adequately to handle both the good and bad.”
He said that “This past year has brought its share of difficulties and uncertainties, but it has also shown us the power of kindness, unwavering hope and communal efforts. And in the face of difficulty, we have also witnessed the remarkable ability of individuals, organisations and governments to support and uplift those in need and to create positive change in the world.”
Adingwupu noted that it was important to extend a hand of kindness to those who need it most, share the gift of hope with those who feel lost, and spread love compassion to all mankind, not only during festive times, any other day. “And as we look ahead to the New Year 2025, may we carry with us the spirit of resilience, unity, and optimism, knowing that together, we can overcome the challenges of life.
“As you all know our organisation, FELD Foundation stands as a beacon of light in the midst of darkness, offering support and compassion to the most vulnerable among us in our little space. It is a self-service mandate we have undertaken to put smile and to restore hope for a better world. For us at FELD, rather than do nothing about the change we want to see in the world, we are determined to create it. So, in the face of current adversity in Nigeria, it is important that we hold onto hope – hope that tomorrow will be better, hope that our efforts make a difference, hope that together we can create a brighter future for all. It is this hope that fuels our work and drives us to push forward, even when the road ahead seems daunting”.
On this joyous period of Christmas, I extend my heartfelt wishes to each and every one of you and families for Christmas filled with love, peace and joy, and a New Year brimming with hope, possibility, and endless opportunities for positive change.
