Delta State 2023 governorship hopeful and frontline founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi Esq. has noted that the only way to call ourselves a State was to eradicate and take our youths out of the street through industrialization of the State.
Gbagi disclosed this developmental strategy yesterday, when briefing newsmen in Asaba on his 2023 governorship intention.
According to the former Minister of Education “it’s not the amount of money we give our youths everyday or the money we dole out at them for purpose of daily feeding. It is how we empower them. So, such Empowerments will translate to their family, to their children and from children to yet unborn. And the only way to achieve this is through industrialization of the State”.
The Delta State born renowned criminologist and legal luminary reiterated his commitments to industrialize the State with hundred industries in his first hundred days in office that it was achievable.
“Between you and I, industry is my strength. I understand it. I know it. And I have what it takes to navigate major industries from the world back to Delta State to continue from where Gov Okowa will stop”. He added.
Gbagi, who commended Gov Okowa for being an astute administrator laying down a solid foundation for his successor to build upon, said as an industialist, when elected as Delta State Governor in 2023, he would consolidate on the gains of the Gov Okowa’s led Government.
He said limitations of time will not allow Gov Okowa to do more than he can do in eight years, but as an industrial person, he was here to compliment Gov Okowa’s good work.
On allegations of rearing lions, stripping staff and changing of his town name, Gbagi said Political enemies and detractors cooked up those fabricated stories just to tarnished his image before his people, that it behove on journalists to verify all.
