The Idjerhe Council of Chiefs in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State has announced its new year resolutions during the first meeting of the year, held in the Central Oguedion.
The meeting which was presided over by the Unugbrogodo of Idjerhe Central, Chief Sangbo Agbamitoto, and the Unuevworo, Chief Solomon Ojariafe, was attended by chiefs from Udurhie and Uduaka in large numbers to discuss the way forward in 2022.
Speaking to newsmen On behalf of the chiefs, Ojariafe thanked God Almighty for the privilege of another year and highlighted some of the progress in the kingdom in 2021 under the King of Idjerhe kingdom, HRM Udurhie 1.
The Unuevwro said that they had a lot of programmes put in place this year which would attracts more development to the kingdom and thanked the King of Idjerhe Kingdom for his good work so far at ensuring that the Kingdom achieved greater success.
He advised the Idjerhe people to live in harmony and cooperate with one another, saying that they should cooperate with the King to move the kingdom forward.
Chief Ojariafe prayed for more development in the kingdom, saying that he was optimistic that greater things would be achieved in 2022 and encouraged all to embraced peace and cooperate with the leadership of the kingdom for more development and the interest of Idjerhe kingdom.
He stated that the first meeting of the year was to intimate themselves with the plan for the year, saying that there was so much for them to do as a lot of programmes had been lined up towards the development of the kingdom.
