Nigeria’s foremost Industrialist and Delta State Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, said he left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with so much tears in his eyes because it was a political party he jointly formed. That his name would not be erase from the formation of PDP politicians.
Gbagi disclosed this yesterday while briefing journalists at his Oginibo country home in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the State.
Why disclosing how he fought for former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan when the alleged cabals were against him at the time late Umaru Yar Adu’a was incapable of recovering from his ill health, the SDP candidate said he would support a southerner in the 2023 presidential election because it was the turn of the South.
“We must bring the position of the President of this country back to South for eight years. Anything other interest is null and void.” He added.
The former Federal Minister of Education said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa breeched the agreement they had for Governor Okowa to support his 2023 Governorship ambition because, he (Kenneth Gbagi) cannot be controlled by the Governor and cabals.
On how structurally prepared is SDP to defeat the ruling PDP in Delta State, the renowned industrialist said “you do not need to have a structure to win in the 2023 elections because, qualified voters would be voting to liberate the State from the shackles of incompetent hands. That he was competent and competency would prevail with the ballot papers at the 2023 polls.
According to the Gbagi “If you want your industries to revive I am the man to vote for. It is an election where you are to pick somebody that you believe can guarantee the revival of your industries, future of your children, State and the fate of children yet unborn.
“Among all of us who have been thrown up as candidates, the choice is left to Deltans, if you want to pick somebody who will deaden the State than it already is now is left to the electorate. If they want the State to develop to a point when you go to teach and your salaries are paid as at when due. You pension and get your money as at when due, is up to them as long as no one complains after May 29.
“If they participate in selling their birthright for a package of Maggi or rice or any form of bribe, it is left to them to decide. I want to work with the youths in the society and all that mean well for Delta State. So, the issue of structure has nothing to do with the election.”
