Governor Dap Abiodun of Ogun State today celebrates Mr Oladimeji Shotunde for his sterling academic performance having set a new CGPA record in the 37 years of establishment of the Lagos State University , a feat no student had ever achieved in the history of the University. He graduated as the overall best graduating student of the Lagos State University LASU Ojo Campus, with a cumulative grade point average CPGA of 4.95 from a total CGPA of 5.00 .
The 22 years old Shotunde alongside other 27 students and teachers were today celebrated amidst pomp and paegeantry by the state government who announced a gift of two bedroom flat and a sum of two million naira for him . He hails from Abeokuta South L.G.A, in Ogun State and graduated from the department of Business Administration .
In an elaborate event tagged Celebration of Ogun Academic Laureates 2021 which was richly attended physically and virtually by eminent personalities , captains of industries , academia which include Prof Wole Soyinka , Prof Asiwaju , Prof Peter Okebukanla , Prof Ishiaq Oloyede , Prof Adebisi Bamiro, traditional rulers which includes the Paramount ruler of Egbaland HRH Oba Adedoyin Aremu Gbadebo the Alake of Egbaland and the state Chairman of ASUSS Comrade Akeem Lasisi .
