All is now set for the University Of Ibadan Alumni Association (UIAA), Asaba Chapter, 2021 Annual Dinner for members and their spouses.
Expected as Special Guests of Honour, is Sen.(Dr.) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor, Delta State and wife, Her Exellency Dame Edith Okowa, Founder of ’05 Initiative’, both alumni of the University of Ibadan.
This was revealed by the Chairman, UIAA Asaba Chapter, Dr. (Mrs) Felicia Adun, FNES, JP, while addressing newsmen in Asaba today.
Dr Adun disclosed that the 2021 UIAA Dinner Party, Under the Distinguished Chairmanship of Dr. Timi Tonye, an alumnus of the University of Ibadan, would have Dcn. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Deputy Governor of Delta State, and an alumnus of the University of Ibadan, as Guest of Honour, while the Royal Father of the Day would be Obi P. I. G. Onyeobi, the Iyase of Asaba, also an alumnus of the University of Ibadan.
According to Dr. Adun, “the 2021 UIAA, Asaba Chapter’s Dinner Party is scheduled for Saturday, 11th December, 2021. The venue is No 5, Ayo Aduba Street, opposite Cenotaph, Asaba. The Time is 4pm”.
The Asaba Chapter Chairman of UIAA, who said the event is strictly for UItes and invited guests, further revealed that the party is being hosted by _Ogbueshi na abo_ CP Ikechukwu Ayo Aduba (Rtd), a former Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command who, himself, is a distinguished alumnus of the University of Ibadan.
Dr. Adun, a former University of Ibadan Lecturer who just retired as Permanent Secretary in the Delta State Civil Service, stated that one of the purposes of organising the Dinner Party, was to provide members with an avenue to relax, unwind and network.
“That is a day to relax and network among ourselves. It is to give us the opportunity to move to the next level,” Dr. Adun added.
